Welcome From The Director
Dear Parents,
Welcome to First Christian Academy! We are so happy you chose our school. We have so much to learn this year.
This past summer some of our
teachers were fortunate enough to attend training from some of the best at
Pensacola Christian College where the A Beka curriculum was created. PCC
is a very inspiring place to be. It is amazing to see how God's plan
unfolded for their school. Many people were present from across the USA
and other countries around the world. We learned many wonderful
things to teach our pupils this year. I know God has amazing things
planned for us here at First Christian Academy! I am excited to see how
his plans will unfold for us over the coming years.
This year the children are learning so much. It is truly amazing to look at the curriculum and see what
the children know now and what they will learn by the end of the year. We
will read many Bible stories, learn verses, and how to apply God's word to our
lives. I encourage you to read with and to your child on a daily
basis. Tell your child that you are pleased with their efforts.
Make this a special time of the day for your family. Praise your child
for any improvement you notice.
It is also important to
practice math skills at home. You should practice addition and
subtraction flash cards. If your child can do these facts quickly, it
will be much easier for him or her to learn multiplication and division. You
can also count money and tell the time together. Count by 1's, 2's, 5's,
and 10's as you drive down the road.
As you can see, this will be
an exciting year for all of us. I look forward to getting to know you and
your child this year. May God Bless you and yours! If you do not
