Children's Ministry
Welcome to Children's Ministries! We are home to the FBCRH ministries focusing on 1st through 6th grade children, their families, and their communities. We desire to invite, encourage, and enable children, their families, and their friends to: come to KNOW God; to GROW in their understanding and appreciation of God and His plan for all of creation; and to SHOW or demonstrate practical applications of His Lordship in our lives.
The atmosphere of Children's Ministries at FBCRH is safe, clean, child friendly, engaging, and multi-faceted. Our partners in ministry are committed, well-trained, and appropriately resourced. As an added safety precaution all volunteers are also security screened.
Our Sunday School classes give students fun, caring, and purposeful instruction paramount in their exposure to, experience in, and expression of biblical truths found in God's infallible word. Each class has the following four components:
Preview - A simple, fun activity for children who arrive early.
Power
Up - Begin the session with a fun, creative activity that sets the stage
for learning.
Plug
In - Follow a step-by-step plan for large group Bible study and worship
with all the children in a single group.
Personalize
- One of several fun activities to help children apply the Bible
study to their lives during small group time.
The curriculum utilized in these classes provides a balanced approach to central Bible concepts, essential Bible skills, and foundational Bible stories for young children through preteens. 4th through 6th graders have Sunday School classes meeting at 8:15, 9:30, and 11:00 on Sunday morning whereas the 1st through 3rd graders have Sunday School Classes meeting at 8:15 and 11:00.
At 9:30 on Sunday mornings young children are encouraged to participate in a Children's Church experience designed exclusively for them. Children's Church begins with a large group worship experience followed by solid age-appropriate teaching from the Bible. Children are simultaneously challenged and encouraged by the hearing, seeing, and sometimes acting out of Bible stories and concepts.
Children's Ministries at FBCRH also encompass AWANA on Wednesday evenings and Upward Sports year round.
All of our partners in Children's Ministries are excited about serving Jesus Christ in the capacity of assisting you as you "Train a child in the way he should go" trusting His Word, "when he is old he will not depart from it". Proverbs 22:6.
