Welcome! You are being introduced to the next great department of the CRH!
We now have a new WING to the CDD called: Expression Pictures.
We believe these aspects should be shown through all parts of the church. CRH is pursuing willing laypersons who wish to minister in the film and video department known as Expression Pictures. If you have a creative mind, and would like to become involved in any of the following areas email us here and let's get started serving together!
Expression Pictures has been designed to be a group of Ministries with the combined goal of expressing the Christ life through film and video. We are currently working on films for each month and season. If you are interested in any of these positions, check out Expressions Ministry Network (this is where the laypersons of Expression collaborate over ideas that or up and coming) as well as reading over the list below

Director of Concept Development
We are looking for laypersons who are interested in serving as:
Camera Operator
The person who operates the camera to the specifications
dictated by the director of photography
Open Positions: Two
Director of Photography
A cinematographer who is ultimately responsible for the
process of recording a scene in the manner desired by the director. The
Director of Photography has a number of possible duties: selection of film
stock, cameras, and lenses; designing and selecting lighting, directing the
gaffer's placement of lighting; shot composition (in consultation with the director);
film developing and film printing. Open Positions: One
Camera Loader
AKA: Clapper-Loader, Clapper Loader
The person who operates the clapboard at the beginning
of a shot, also responsible for loading film stock into film magazines. The
action of slapping the clapper was invented as a way of synchronizing the
visual and audio components of a shot. Open Positions: Two
Grip
A grip is a skilled person responsible for the set up,
adjustment and maintenance of production equipment on the set. Their typical
duties involve camera movement, lighting refinement, and mechanical rigging.
Grips work exclusively with equipment that the camera is mounted on. Open

Editor
A person who performs editing (in consultation with the
director) on a movie. This term usually refers to someone who does visual
editing. Open Positions: Three
Extra
A person who appears in a movie where a non-specific,
non-speaking character is required, usually as part of a crowd or in the
background of a scene. Extras are often recruited from wherever they are
available. Contrast with non-speaking role. Numerous Positions Available
Actor
AKA: Actress
A person who plays the role of a character.
Historically, the term "Actor" referred exclusively to males, but in modern
times the term is used for both genders. Numerous Positions Available
Screenwriter
A writer who either adapts an existing work for
production as a movie, or creates a new screenplay. Check out the September

Set Decorator
AKA: Set Decoration
A person who has total charge of decorating the set with
all furnishings, drapery, interior plants, and anything seen on indoor or
outdoor sets. Open Positions: Two
Set Designer
The person responsible for translating a production
designer's vision of the movie's environment into a set which can be used for
filming. The set designer reports to the art director. Open Positions: Two
Set Dresser
A person who maintains the set per the Set Decorator's
requirements, placing elements such as curtains and paintings, and moves and
resets the set decoration to accommodate camera, grip and lighting setups.
Contrast with set decorator, property master. Responsible for set continuity
with script supervisor and property master. Open Positions: Two
Production Assistant
AKA: Set Production Assistant, PA, Gopher, Personal
Assistant, Assistant To, Assistant To Producer
A person responsible for various odd jobs, which could
include such disparate tasks as running errands, stopping traffic, acting as
couriers, fetching items from craft service, etc. Tasks and levels of
responsibility can vary greatly, depending on the film, the needs of the rest
of the team, and the skills of the individuals PA themselves. Production
Assistants are often attached to individual actors or filmmakers. Open
