Gene Loflin Ministries
Dear Friend,
As a Christian, what is one of the greatest joys in your life? If you are like I am, I think you would answer this question by saying, "Seeing someone come to know Jesus Christ as their personal Lord and Savior".
Soon after my salvation, I recognized that within my heart was an overwhelming desire to share Jesus with those around me. I was so in love with Him, and I wanted others to feel what I was feeling. As a member of First Baptist Church in Richmond Hill, Georgia, I entered into the Faith Evangelism Program. This program taught me how to effectively share Jesus Christ with anyone I came in contact with. I have been faithful to follow God's prompting to share my faith with others over the years, and have found that God has gifted me in this area. It has been several years and the desire to tell others about Jesus has only increased. God has blessed me richly over this period of time; I have had the opportunity to be part of leading several hundred people to Christ. He is such a great and awesome God.
Over the last few years I have felt the Lord leading me to share the Gospel of Christ on a full time basis. Through much prayer, and the Lord opening some doors, I am now actively doing just that. Each afternoon and evening during the week I can be found in people's homes telling them of the good news of Jesus Christ. I am constantly on the go and rack up lots of miles, going wherever I feel the Lord is leading me that day. Starting in January of 2008 I will be working with First Baptist Church of Tifton, Georgia. I will be training their existing Faith Evangelism teams how to use opinion polls to supplement and improve the effectiveness of their program already in place. I should be six to nine weeks with them training their teams and visiting Tifton families. I am also planning to spend time in St. Louis, Missouri the first few months of 2008. I will be there with Pastor Scott Speer, formally the youth pastor of First Baptist Church of Richmond Hill, Georgia. Scott has started a new church in the St. Louis area and has asked that I help him set up a faith program at this new church. I am praying that God will continue to provide opportunities for me to work with other churches, either establishing new evangelism programs or overhauling existing programs.
As you can imagine, this, like any full time ministry, has a cost associated with it. There is a great deal of travel associated with what I am doing. The price of gas and vehicle maintenance alone is significant. Many of the people I lead to Jesus Christ don't own a copy of the Bible, which I supply. Though it takes very little, I also have personal living expenses that need to be met on a monthly basis.
I am writing to ask for your help in three specific areas. First, I ask that you pray that God will continue to give me opportunities to share the gospel, and to lead people to Christ. Second, I ask that if you have friends or family you have not been able to reach for Christ, and you think a visit from another person might help, please contact me. I would consider it to be a great honor to visit, and share the love of Christ with them. Last, I ask that you consider helping support this ministry on a regular basis. It will be impossible to continue to do what I am now doing without your support. This ministry has financial needs that can only be met with your help. Our needs are small compared to most ministries. The smallest of gifts has a large impact on the overall financial health of this ministry. Please prayerfully consider being part of Gene Loflin Ministries. Your gift is tax deductible.
May God Bless You,
Gene Loflin
