Meet the Pastor

Scott Speer was called into ministry out of the business world and has a God given passion to see people come to know, love, and glorify Jesus Christ.  Scott got his undergraduate degree from the University of Arkansas and his Master’s from Dallas Theological Seminary.  Scott served here at FBCRH previously as the student pastor and at FBC Rogers, AR as the young adult pastor.

Scott’s hobbies include sports (he’s a big Razorback fan), music, and spending time with his family.  Scott is married to Robin who is a stay at home mom, a taxicab service for their kids, piano teacher, and helpmate to Scott in his ministry.  Scott and Robin have three kids-Emily 13, Jackson 10, and Landon 5.  Emily is in 7th grade where she enjoys cheerleading, choir, and student council.  Jackson is in 4th grade and is in student council, plays tackle football, and guitar.  Landon is in Kindergarten and enjoys anything that has to do with bugs and the outdoors.  All three of their children know Jesus as their personal Lord and Savior and are a part of their father’s ministry through prayer and serving alongside him.  Scott and Robin, along with their family, believe in earnestly seeking God’s will for their lives in all areas and situations.  They believe God’s plan is right and good and that where God leads them He will bless and provide.

Scott’s vision for FBCRH includes a relational strategy where loving God, loving one another and serving the world is really lived out on a day-to-day basis.  Programs and events are good, but ineffective without a genuine relationship with God and genuine relationships with others.  Some of the areas God has already placed on Scott’s heart include our military families, families in general, and people in great need who we can serve expecting nothing in return.
