This is part 1 in our Christmas 2008 series, "What Christmas Tells Us."
This past Sunday (11/30) we started a new series: What Christmas Tells Us. For the remaining weeks of this year we'll be looking at some of the big themes behind Christmas, and see how Christ coming as a baby should impact our lives today.
The first message was "What Christmas Tells Us About: Missions." We saw how the example of Jesus tells us we aren't supposed to live our lives at a distance from others, but we are the be close and involved. Here's the direct link to the mp3, and here's the notes we handed out.
At the beginning I answer three questions we got last week: One on communication, then practical ways to keep the foxes out of your relationships, and finally the question of dating someone you don't intend to marry. Then we take off through all of chapter three.
Here's the audio from our first week. The beginning has the announcements, and then a good bit of intro, before we get to the text.
You can download it directly here, or listen below.
And don't forget, the notes I mention are here.
